Who’s “we”?

Currently, when I say “we”, it’s really the royal we ’cause right now it’s just me (Rosie). However, in the near future, I’d love to recruit some incredibly compassionate, experienced, trustworthy folks to work with. Either as official RW team members or as part-time helpers that will deliver the same level of custom quality care + love we provide. #communitynotcompetition

What neighborhoods do you cover?

For walks + runs we cover: Aloha  •  Beaverton  • Bethany •  Hillsboro  •  and the areas in between

For pet sitting, we cover all the same areas but we’re open to extending outside of them (as long as the commute is reasonable).

If your area isn’t listed, please include it in the comments section of the contact form and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, check, or credit card.

Our clients tend to prefer:

  • Venmo (search for: Rosie Walks)

  • Quickbooks Online (that’s the billing system we use; it’s super easy!)

  • PayPal (send to: rosie@rosiewalks.com)

What if my pets and I would like more than one meet-and-greet?

We tooootally get it, sometimes you (or your pets) need a little extra time to get to know us. Our first meet-and-greet is always complimentary and each additional “getting to know you” meet-up is only $30 per additional consultation (per hour).

Additional meet-ups usually include trial walks, walkthroughs of home care details, or some extra sniffing time for your pup (or kittie cat). No matter the reason, we’re happy to spend extra time with you and your pet(s) to make sure you’re 100% comfortable.

Do my pets need to be vaccinated?

Yes! In order for us to keep all the animals in our care, along with ourselves and other humans, safe - all animals must be up-to-date on all of their vaccines. If your adult pet can not be vaccinated due to medical issues, a titer test is required (all early stage animals must be vaccinated, no exception). We require proof of vaccination or proof of antibodies present against all pertinent diseases. Even with the titer test, however, we will not expose your animal to other animals in our care for health and safety reasons. We will only provide services where the animal is in the comfort of their own home (ie. drop-in pet sitting).

Vaccines are only required for animal varieties that can be vaccinated. This, obviously, does not apply to those who do not require vaccinations (ie. bearded dragons, etc.).

My pets and I talked it over and they’re ready to get their (Rosie) staycation on. How do we get things started?

Oooooh, it’s soooooo easy! Step 1 is a 45 – 60 min. meet-and-greet sesh with you + your pets. We’ll go over all the special details that’ll help us give your pets + home the best possible care + love out there. Just click on the button below to get started!

Each additional dog or cat is $4 per pet/per visit. Small pets (ie. fish, birds, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, etc.)* are an additional $2 per pet/per visit.

*for pets that most commonly come in multiples (like fish), we charge for the tank not per pet (’cause if we charged per fish, that would just be silly!)

What’s your Drop-in pet sitting cancellation policy?

For Drop-in pet sitting, a courtesy text/email/phone call at least 10 days in advance is required for service credit. With advanced notice, the total amount for the reservation will be credited to your account and applied to your next booking (yay!).

For the moments when life happens quicker than you can say “Xoloitzcuintli”, we still appreciate the text/email/phone call – however – the total amount for the reservation will be forfeited (sorry, no refunds).

What if I’m traveling outside of the country, will you still send daily updates?

Yes! In that case, we’ll send the daily updates via email. We’ll still include pictures and details about your pet(s) stay, it’ll just be more of a daily journal style than a string of text messages.

Just-like-home boarding base prices are for 1 dog (or 1 small animal). Each additional dog is $10/per night. Small pets (ie. rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc.) are an additional $2 per pet/per night.

Yes! In that case, we’ll send the daily updates via email. We’ll still include pictures and details about your pet(s) stay, it’ll just be more of a daily journal style than a string of text messages.

Do you board cats too?

Yes! We don’t have it listed on our Just-like-Home boarding info page because the majority of cats aren’t huge fans of new places. However, we know there are some exceptions so, if you have a cat that does well in new environments, we’re more than happy to have them slumber party with us. We can even reserve the Chateau Le Critter for them, so they have their own space.

If my pet(s) has an appointment at the Vet/Groomer - or - they need a ride to doggie daycare, can you drive them?

Yes! Overnight care includes pet taxi services (drop-off/pick up) so if your pet has a Vet appointment, a groom session scheduled, or loves socializing with their friends at DD; we’re happy to give them a ride to/from our place. If you’d like us to wait with them, that’s extra and the rates for wait times can be found on our Additional Services page.

Do you do temperament tests for all the pups who slumber party with you?

Yes! All pups must go through a full temp test and also meet our resident pup, Mickey. Everyone’s safety is a top priority for us so, we do everything we can to make sure our home is a safe space for everyone. House rules are also no more than 3 large dogs or 4 small dogs slumber party with us at any given time. Our yard is huge and our home is big buuuttt, we limit capacity because we want everyone to have ample personal space (humans included). This keeps stress levels low and tail-wagging space vast (getting hit in the face with a tail is no fun for anyone!).

If your pup has any phobias or behavioral issues, ie. separation anxiety, fear of other dogs, etc., as long as they aren’t aggressive towards other animals or humans, we are open to having them stay with us. In this case, we definitely would keep their stay with us private so, no other pups would be booked during their time with us. We have extensive experience with special pups who need a little extra care so, don’t fret, we’re happy to work with you and your pup on making their stay with us the best (and safest) time ever.

Do you have more than 1 set of client dogs at your house at the same time?

Generally, no. We usually only allow 1 set of client dogs to stay at our home at a time. However, we do make exceptions for dogs who pass the temp tests, are already known to be good with other dogs (ie. they attend doggie daycare regularly, etc), and you (the pet parent) feels comfortable with other dogs slumber partying with your dog(s).

We treat every dog as an individual and we respect their boundaries and preferences. This allows us to match dogs up based on play style, canine body language cues, etc. and it ensures that everyone in our care stays safe, comfortable, and as stress-free as possible.

Do you have more than 1 set of clients’ small animals (ie. guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, etc.) at your house at the same time?

Generally, no. We usually only allow 1 set of clients’ small animals to stay at our home at a time. However, we do make exceptions for small animals that have their own enclosures/cages. For example, our Chateau Le Critter is large enough to house a bearded dragon (in their own enclosure) as well as, guinea pigs (in their own enclosure). We understand animals’ natural behaviors (we study animals like it’s our job, ‘cause it is!) so we’d never house small animals from different households together in the same enclosure. We do have the ability to house multiple pets in the space but we would take every precaution to ensure everyone stays safe, out of sight of each other (if needed), and most importantly, we would check with you (the pet parent) to make sure you feel comfortable with other small animals slumber partying with your pet(s).

We treat every animal as an individual and we respect their boundaries, preferences, and natural behaviors. This allows us to ensure that everyone in our care stays safe, comfortable, and as stress-free as possible.

I have a senior dog (7+ years young) who needs a little extra TLC. Do you have experience with seniors?

We LOVE senior pups and have a special one in our fur family. We definitely have experience with seniors and we’ll do everything we can to make sure they’re comfy, safe, and get their outside time.

During our meet-and-greet, we’ll go over all the important details but just to give you an idea, these are a couple of things we have to help those extra special pups: doggie backpack for pups up to 20 lbs., doggie wagon for pups up to 100 lbs, doggie stroller for pups up to 40 lbs., and appreciation for slow walks.

Every pup moves through life at their own speed, we’re here to enjoy the journey right alongside them.
